Every time I visit my family in Maine, I try to take at least one decent photo with my camera. While I primarily photograph people, visiting Maine allows me to do landscape photography that isn’t possible in New York City.

During wintertime, the big schooners are wrapped in plastic to protect them from the elements. Here are three that stay in the harbor year-round.

The shore right outside my parents home has many rows of jagged rocks. I did a 30 second exposure for this image and light painted the rocks with a flashlight to illuminate them.

We have always have the big dinner and open presents on Christmas eve in my family. This way, everyone can relax on Christmas Day!
